Component Family Roles and Gender

Component of Gender, Women and Family Roles, addresses the issue of Nariño native women - Peasant and Indigenous-, and their roles in food security of communities; we study their roles in the family, in agriculture, in communities, social organizations and care of the environment. While we focus on the theme "Women," our gender perspective, also refers to the interaction with "men"; while we are interested in the family as a place of socialization, building dreams and identities, present projects and future for its members therefore we address issues of family life; with their problems and potentials related to the care, nutrition and food security of the families themselves and their communities.
